Church service made me happy today.

it's a beautiful day
This break I went up to Tahoe.
I slided down Northstar and Sugar Bowl.
They were sunny days following rainy days.
It was spring skiing at its best.
Icy and mashed-potato snow, baring rocks,
cocoa pistes here and there,
and you could even see some crisp gulches.
No, I did not attempt to fly over a gulch this time.
Most important, it was nice to be up there.
Buyer beware!
Some of the blues at Sugar Bowl are more like single black diamonds.
Skiing in these conditions is tough.
What doesn't kill you usually makes you stronger, with some bruises.

I want to take the time to thank the Agape women for
putting together br.ap earlier this year.
Although I was out of town that weekend,
I definitely appreciate all the thoughtfulness.
And the pen is definitely very nice.
I didn't realize how nice it was until I got started on
the Christmas correspondence. :)
